As those who came back alive, we at least wish their souls to come back to their home.

We strongly think that their souls should not be left there for long.

I tried to draw the souls of the soldiers coming back to the north, as silver crosses.

I used silver pigment used in Japanese painting (aluminum powder).

I intended that the crosses would shine like silver against light, but the outcome was not as I expected.
