I was stationed in the main island Falalap in the first half of the stay in Mereyon.

Once, when I went offshore on a boat, I saw a huge clam in the deep sea bottom.

The clam was likely dead.

I think it was almost a size of a tatami mat.

When I visited Hawaii, I bought a same shaped shell of about 40 centimeters. 

The shell sits in my room so that I can remember Mereyon Islands at any time.
