This was a doll contained in a comfort bag during I was stationed at the border between the Soviet Union and Manchuria.
The sales staffs of Fujiya Candy Store in Yokohama, where I often visited when I was a student, sent the bag for me.
They had promised to send me a comfort bag, when I visited them just before I was stationed at Manchuria.
This doll shared the same fate with me and came back safely.
Even now, this 5-centimeter-tall doll is hooked on the wall of my painting room.
It was one of my lucky charm.
